Jacqueline Woods is a PhD candidate of the Johnson-Shoyama School of Public Policy at the University of Saskatchewan where her research focuses on Indigenous economic development at the community level. She works as writer and strategist, and is grateful to have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of community-based corporations, government, industry, and non-profits over the years.
An avid volunteer, Jacqueline currently serves on the Board of Directors of the newly-founded Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan and is enjoying being a part of this organization as it grows from the ground up. Most recently, her volunteer work has focused on projects with Reconciliation Saskatoon. She is particularly excited to have been a part of the ConnectR project, an online platform to be released in 2019 that strives to help people make their first steps toward Reconciliation.
Jacqueline is also an advanced doctoral candidate (piano performance) of the State University of New York – Stony Brook, and holds additional degrees and diplomas from the University of Ottawa (MMus), University of Saskatchewan (BMus), London College of Music and the Liszt Academy of Music. She is Artistic Director of Saskatoon’s very own Ritornello Chamber Music Festival, which celebrated its tenth year in 2018. Its most substantial fundraiser is Saskatoon Chefs’ Gala, an annual event she runs in collaboration with a team from the Saskatoon Chefs’ Association, Live Five Theatre Group, and Little Opera On the Prairie. She lives in Saskatoon with her husband, their two children and miniature dachshund.
